How To Stay Healthy And Fit Even After Pregnancy

Do you know that pregnancy nor giving birth are not the reasons why moms get fat?  Instead, having little time does!

We all know how hectic our schedule is once we let those tiny little munchkins out of our body. From the moment we give birth to bringing our babies home until they grew up into fine young girls and boys, a mom's schedule is unpredictable. Therefore, we try to squeeze in as many activities as we could that we often forget to give a little time for ourselves. When we're single and it seems like we have all the time in the world, we are free to do everything we want anytime of the day: shop, go to the gym, mingle with friends -- name it, you've probably done it. But now, even combing our hair is a luxury.

And this, my dear mommies, is one of the reasons why most of us end up either fat or skinny. We deprive ourselves the time that should be alloted in preparing healthy meals and going for an exercise. Now hold on, nobody's to blame. It's obviously a lot easier to buy cooked meals or devour a huge piece of cake. Sleeping or lying down is a lot better after a long hard day of work than spend time working out. However, we should remember that getting fit is not just about looking good, instead, it's about getting healthy. After all, we aim to protect and serve our young ones as long as we can, therefore, we need to be strong and feel young so we can get along with them easily.

To do this, we need to be committed with ourselves. Start with preparing healthy meals for you and the entire family. The online world offers a lot of easy-to-prepare healthy meals that you can do at home. Make sure to include dishes that are rich in fiber, protein, and healthy carbs. These will help you feel full all day while boosting your metabolism at the same time.

As for me, my favorite go-to treat would be banana and peanut butter. This both offers protein and quick carbs.

Next, go online and seek for a quick workout. I admit -- I am guilty of feeling lazy and instead of doing a 10-minute exercise, I lie in the bed, grab my smart phone, and scroll endlessly on my social media. However, I feel lazy and weak unlike before when I religiously exercise every day. That's why I try hard to push myself and look for inspirational videos that would help me stand up and sweat.

And for the arms:

Third, drink water. It's no secret how water is beneficial in many ways. One of which is by burning fats easily. Drinking cold water burns up to 17.5 calories and it does not require any other heavy workouts.

Finally, I breastfeed. This is one perk, aside from the huge savings, that we, breastfeeding moms, get. Nursing our little ones help us reduce that extra pounds without starving ourselves. This is because we burn calories naturally every time we allow our little ones consume our liquid gold.

Additional Tip: Look for an inspiration! Going online and looking at real-fitness stars will help you achieve your dream bod and stay fit.
