Oatmeal Lactation Cookies || Increase Your Milk Supply With This Treat || Breastfeeding Mom

'How do you increase milk supply?' This is the common question that first time and upcoming moms ask. Just like my pregnant sister who's only a month away from giving birth. Aside from encouraging her to join a Facebook page dedicated for breastfeeding mom (Breastfeeding Pinay), I also shared some tips on how to increase it; one of which is having this easy-to-make oatmeal lactation cookies.

The cookies are sweet enough to tickle your sweet tooth and it's done in 20 minutes! This treat is best for pregnant and lactating moms who want to increase their milk supply. Basically, an oatmeal is one of the best sources of iron. Low iron levels or maternal anemia causes a decrease in the production of milk so it makes sense to eat something that is rich in iron. Moreover, it is a comfort food that most women enjoy.

Instructions:

1. Cream butter and sugar.
2. Add flour, salt, egg, water, and oats. Mix well.
3. Form into a tiny ball and bake at 350°F for 10-15 minutes or until cookies are brown and cooked.

It's fast, easy, and super delicious! How about you? How do you increase your milk supply?
