You'll never know how hard it is to be a mom -- unless you become one. It's one draining job that we don't want to complain about. Aside from chasing dishes, we are changing food, laundering the diapers, cooking kids, and the list goes one. Oookay, it's all mixed up, right? Guess I'm just little exhausted.
Don't get me wrong. I love being a mom. My patience may not be as long as Rapunzel's hair but I love my Little Prince. He is my life. I may rant a little bit about how that chocolaty hand touched my white pants and how my tiny pooping machine loves putting yogurt on his face, but I don't regret anything. Despite my hair getting thinner, I love being a mom.
But once in a while, we, moms, need to treat ourselves. I know, I know, you're having a tiny guilt inside yourself but imagine if we continuously work all day and all night, do you think we will last that long? Think of it like the famous line that goes: 'All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.' We don't want to be dull. We don't want to be disorganized. We don't want to give what's only enough. Instead, we want to be lively. We want to be orderly. And above all, we want to give not only what's enough, but what's best for our dear little ones. So how do we do it?
For me, the quickest boost is to give our self a little treat, perhaps, by buying your favorite skin care or shade of lipstick. Or maybe, going out on a quick shopping or dining in your favorite restaurant. But the most effective of all, going to a massage spa.
Normally, a massage will take 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on your package. Some spas offer jacuzzi, sauna, and massage which last for at least 5 hours. But if you want a quickie, you can go for a massage, may it be Swedish, Shiatsu, or the combination of the two. It doesn't have to be expensive; all you need is an affordable massage spa in Manila that would bring you back to life.
Below are some of massage parlors in Manila that won't rip your budget:
