So last time, I was looking for a new skin essential to
share in my brand. I’m seeing a lot of photos of this beautiful girl with such
a flawless skin. #skingoals it is! I always wanted that glass skin (who wouldn’t).
She was promoting this Ryx Skincerity and since my friend mentioned it to me
last time, I quickly gave it a try. I bought a set – Ultra Hydrating Foam
Cleanser and Ryx Skincerity Skin Perfecting Serum – for P700. It’s pretty
pricey but it gave me the idea that it will work well. Di ba nga pag mahal, mas
maganda?
Turned out, this
beautiful lady is the owner of the brand – Miss Rica Detiquez. Okay, I know I sound too lesbo already. Lol!
Let’s talk about Ryx Skincerity Ultrahydrating Foam Cleanser
– which is pink and so
feminine. It was love at first sight! Unlike the trendy cleanser nowadays which
uses a brush, this one gives foam instead. It claims to control skin sebum, remove
dirt, and whiten skin. If there’s one thing I love about the product (aside
from its color), that would be the smell. It’s kind of fruity and flowery.
Ingredients: Sodium lauryl ethyl sulfate, Coconut diethylamine, Cocoamidrophyl betaine, Sodium lauryl sulfate, Aloe vera extract, Niacinamide, Carrot extract, Papaine, Vitamin B3, Carbomer, Lactomoist, Azeglyjic, Glycerine, Scent, and Menthol
It made my skin softer right after the first wash. I also
noticed that my face is less oilier than before. However, there’s this
tightness afterwards and from what I read before, if the skin feels tight after
washing, it suggests that the
product is not right for the user and might produce dryness, dehydration, and
irritation. However, I shrugged it off and use it for more than a couple of
weeks.
Now -- the Ryx Skincerity Skin Perfecting Serum
I am a big fan of Elujai Propolis Myrrh Ample Light and
Nature SC Propolis Honey Ample Light so I guess it wouldn’t hurt to try another
serum. Unlike from the usual serums I’ve had, this one’s thicker – more like a
cream but it’s very absorbent. The instruction suggests avoiding massaging it
on the face, rather giving a light pat. It claims to minimize pores, whiten
skin, remove fine lines, and treat acne.
Pore-wise, I don’t see any significant difference, unlike
when I’m using Anti-StressMatcha Green Tea Mask. It did made my skin softer and smoother though and
it doesn’t look stressed or haggard.

What I Like About Ryx
- I noticed that it has given my skin a subtle glow – which is very helpful considering that I sleep for barely 5 hours a day.
- It did made my skin feel cleaner and softer (sadly this didn't last)
- I super love the smell!
What I Don't Like About Ryx
- After another week of using it, my skin’s very dehydrated. I’m not using any product aside Ryx Skincerity cleanser and serum.
- The skin around my nose and mouth area is peeling and I feel a slight burn. I also noticed that the area around my mouth is darker – parang nasunog sya besh!
- Also noticed the blemishes on my cheeks and it's a no-no! 😞
- It’s pricey and with my experience, I don’t think it’s worth the price.
What I Did Next..
I contacted my seller and she’s very helpful by the way. She
asked me if I’m using other products/brands with it but I said that I’m using
it exclusively. She also mentioned about not letting the cleanser stay on my
skin for a long time. I think I’m washing my face for at least 60 seconds or
less and considering that this is still a short time, I think the product is
just too strong for me. It’s not that I’m not recommending Ryx Skincerity, it’s
just that it doesn’t work for me. Maybe it’s not the best skin essential for
combination skin.

Its really sad how a local skin brand can easily “fool” anyone. For 700php a set, it is indeed overpriced for products that contain non-skin friendly ingredients. You experienced tightness right after cleansing and that should already tell you the cleanser is not right. Look at the ingredients. The cleanser listed sodium lauryl ethyl sulfate as no. 1 and sodium lauryl sulfate as no. 4. Both ingredients are considered toxic and can caused dryness. With continuous usage, it will eventually compromise your skin barrier. The serum have “scent” and menthol added. There was no indication of the origin of the scent used. I think they used generic essential oils. Whilst the methol is again, a toxic ingredient, and does nothing for our skin. Hope this helps clear your concern.

I used this product for 5 days only and it gives me dry skin around my lips and eyes also, Other thing is Im having pimples as well, but i dunno if that's because of my period or what. I contacted my seller as you did, and shes surprised that I experienced all of this and told me to wash off the foam immediately after cleansing but I have no intention to "experiment" more on my skin. :D

I used to have one or two bumps whenever my monthly period is to arrive, but after a week of using ryx, nagbreak out ako huhu then they said purging lang daw un so i continued. But it didn't change even after a month so I decided to go to a dermatologist to seek help. My skin is healing now and I will never use ryx again

DeleteHi sis. My derma prescribed Epiduo Forte for my acne and cetaphil Dermacontrol cleanser. There will be purging at first but after 3 to 6 weeks you will see the effects.

I was curious about the products but since there was no mention of the ingredients on Rica Detiquez's fb account or RYX official website, I became a bit worried. Good thing I research before trying out skincare products. I'm sticking to my 10-step Korean skin care na lang. :)

I ordered 2 sets (2 cleansers and 2 serums) bought it for 100 cad (bought from a seller in Canada) I didn’t read other reviews because I was instantly hook by the testimonials on facebook. The moment I received mine, I used it religiously, am and pm. Unfortunately didn’t see any wonders, I started with a clear and moisturized skin, ended up having butlig butlig sa face and sobrang dry. As of the moment, I’m trying to heal it with my aloe vera gel. Oh well, it pays to do extra research. So jealous at how it’s effective sa iba like they get this glass skin, but for me, It dried out my face plus butlig...

DeleteSame here, after ng 3-5days mahapdi na sya then namalat. I thought ganun talaga sya sa umpisa magtatanggal ng dead skin pero nagkapimples ako ng bongga na napaka unsual nya sa sobrang dami. I guess babalik na ulit ako sa dove.

DeleteHad the same experience, the only thing is sakin naman first day of use pa lang sobrang hapdi na ng face ko, then nangati yung sa may jaw line ko at neck tapos biglang lumitaw yung maliliit na bumps na sobrang kati. The moment na naramdaman ko yun, nag wash ako agad ng face with my regualar beauty soap. Ang hapdi tlga. Then I applied Nivea cream (yung nasa blue na tin can) sobrang na ease yung hapdi at kati.

DeleteSame results I had with Ryx. After a week of using the facial cleanser, toner, and serum, nag-peel din yung area around my nose and mouth. Tapos mahapdi. Nagta-tight din skin ko after every wash, though parang mas lumalaki pores ko. Akala ko pa naman maganda magiging effect sa'kin. So I went back with my ever-so-trusted Cetaphil.

DeleteKagagamit ko lang nito this week. Yung cleanser nila ay sobrang dikit sa mukha ko. Kapag gumagamit ako ng serum at cleanser parang glass skin sya ng kaonti. Pero every time na magwawash ulit ako. Nawawala. So, parang wala lang nangyayari sa face ko. Nagkapimple rin ako. Eh Hindi naman ako pinipimple. Ngayon merong maliliit sa jaw line ko at may dalawang medyo malaki sa cheeks ko. Makati din siya sa mukha

Sasabihin naman nila na it so happened di mo hiyang but the fact na toxic ibang ingredients ay very alarming na. You all got the same results. I wonder tuloy kung legit ba mga feedback sa IG nila.

Nag consult ako dun sa binilihan ko she mention tuloy ko lang daw pag gamit, sa simula lang daw yun. But I am too worried to my face now as in nangitim na ung gilid ng ilong at labi ko :(. DeleteHi, before I wanted to try ryx products as well...kc mgganda ung reviews and model, but then I discover Fairy Derma Set, mas affordable xa and I can say na effective. Sensitive dn skin ko sa mga beauty products and madali akong mag pimples lalo pag di hiyang, but okay yung fairy skin. nagdry mga pimples and slowly nglight yung face ko. Try nyo din po. :)
ReplyDeleteSame experience here 3 days ko lang nagagamit, grabe yung burning sensation nya, hanggang sa kaloob looban. I had to stop it na kase namamaga na muka ko pati mata ko nagmamaga, even drink antihistamine for it and put some cold compress on it, ngayon okay na sya. May part po na nasunog face ko and naging tan, di naman po ako nagpapa-araw. I guess hiyangan po talaga yung product. Sad to say, sobrang na disappointed ako sa products. Walang comment ang reseller na binilhan ko. Nakakainis lang 😥

ReplyDeleteHi. I've been using the facial foam for 4 days pero wala ko napapansin na any negative effects. Hindi tight feeling ng skin ko after washing and also napansin ko na ang bilis magdry and clear up ng pimples ko (very few lang pimples ko nagkakaroon lang ako if I have mens which is the time na ginamit ko yung facial foam). And I also noticed na hindi na ganun ka oily yung face ko kahit nasa mainit na lugar ako unlike before. I use kojie san soap first in my face bago yung ryx facial foam :)

I used to have a smooth face na wala talaganag acne or any bumps but when I visited cebu and get back to my hometown bigla na lang lumabas ng bumps and acne. Sakin naman po skin magical talaga gamit ko,madami sakin nun nagtatanong kong anong gamit ko,pero naisip kong subukan ang ryx para ma achieve ang glass skin so nagtry ako nung 1st day and second day na paggamit ko ng ryx sobrang ganda kahit wala ng ilagay sa mukha kahit powder no need na nga e.. Namumula mula din face ko at sobrang lambot. Pero nung mag isang lingo hanggang pangalawang lingo napansin ko na nangingitim na mukha ko at nag ddry na.pero di kagaya sa naexperience nyo di naman makati sakin. Yun nga lang super dry at itim sa mukha.nag ka butlig butlig din sa ilalim ng face ko. Ngayon base sa mga nabasa ko na reviews nyo ,buo na desisyon ko na tumigil na. Pero recently, laat January lang, same sa mga comments na ang kati ng feeling and ang tight na ng skin ko, nag pacheck ako sa derma although sabi sakin is over expoliated lang. Kakabili ko lang din ng another set kaya hindi ko alam kung ryx ba talaga ang dahilan 😭
ReplyDeleteSame experience po. Huhu kakastart ko lang po kahapon tapos nangitim, nangati at lumobo po agad yung gilid gilid ng lips ko huhuhu. Tapos nagpipeel yung singit ng nose ko at yung area na malapit don. Pero sabi po ng seller ko huwag na lang daw po ako maglalagay don lalo na ng serum kasi nairita daw yung skin and sensitive masyado yung parts na yon. Kaya tatry ko parin po gamitin sayang din po kasi huhu mahal pa naman siya. :(
ReplyDeleteupdate po : tinuloy ko po paggamit after 3 days po or 4 days okay na po siya . till now po okay naman and malambot sa face there are times din po na nagmomosturizer na lang ako and di na ko nag aapply ng anything sa face ko like powder. tho comedogenic po yata talga siya kasi nagkakablackheads and whiteheads po ako around the nose and yung sa cheeks so kailangan mo ng nose strip or balckhead remover.

Akala ko normal lang dahil siguro nag aadjust yung skin ko. Pero nun na feel ko na itchy na sya and parang nag dadark ung face ko nagtaka na ako soo nag search ako ng feedback bout the prod. And luckily napunta ako sa thread na to and boooom!Di lang pala ako nag iisa huhuhu! Sayang pera pero need to stop na siguro kasi di talaga maganda effect sakin.
ReplyDeleteI've been using ryx rejuv set for 1 month, nung una okay sya, naggglass skin ang naghehelp magdry ng pimples, after 2wweks napansin ko na may tumutubo saking blackheads. After nung rejuv set nagtry ako ng serum nila akala ko mawawala ung blackheads ko kasi sabi nila mas mild un kesa sa rejuv set pero still meron pa din akong blackheads. Naexperience nyo din po ba ung ganun?

I will put jelly again before sleep. Nakakatulong sya nawawala yung Burnt nya hndi na sya ganun kaitim or kapula na nasunog tignan. naglessen sya

I was way back so makinis so d ko matanggap ang ngyayare sa balat ko. suki din ako ng facial centers just to make sure na nacocontrol ko kahit papano ung pesteng pimples sa mukha ko. twice a month ako nagpapfacial minsan may diamond peel pang kasama bukod sa expensive pimple acne mask. Literal na cystic pimples tlga. Pati ung FNT ng Flawless worth 5k per sesh and easy peel na worth 3k per sesh pinatos ko na pero d tlga nagcclear pabalik balik lang. sobrang frustrated tlga ko until I used ryx rejuvenating set. Pang 1 month ko na and sobrang kinis ko sobrang puti ko as in! nakakatuwa pero btw sinasabayan ko sya ng inom ng Daiso collagen tablet saka Daiso beauty white twice a day tas religiously ryx lang ako. sobrang miracle ngyare sa balat ko. Baka nga hiyangan lang. kasi bago ko nadiscover tong ryx, lahat na ng pwede itry ginawa ko na. mahal o mura, organic or hindi pero waley. Kahit pano may positive pa rin sa ryx. Thank you ryx!

Mahal pa pgkkabili ko ksi nsa ibang bansa ako .Sana indicate talaga nila kung for anong skin type hndi ung false claim na for all skun types pero pg dry and sensitive ung skin, mas lalong mg ddry esp. Ung ultra hydrating foam daw pero ang totoo after wash, ang dry dry ng face ko. Its so dissapointing.

DeleteHello po good day! I had acne breakout a year ago. I used different products but sadly, hindi ako hiyang ang it made my acne worse. Last month, may nag offer kay mom ng ryx then ayun ang pinagamit sa akin. Luckily, nahiyang ako sa product and my acne is healing. Hiyangan lang po talaga iyan.

After 2days napapansin ko nag kapimples ako na maliliit hindi ko lang masydo pinansin kasi iniisip ko baka gnun lang tlg effect niya sa una.. 3rd day ko napansin ko na yung rashes sa face ko (parang tigdas) napapaisip na ko kung natural lang ba nag start na ko mag basa ng mga feedbacks yung iba sabi sa una lang mawawala rin. Meron na ring micropeeling sa nose, gilid ng lips, at sa may upper lip ko. I stop using na. Ang prob. Ko tlg ngayon yung rashes sa face ko pati noo ko ang dami tlg. 😢

DeleteHi po medyo nawala na yung rashes ko sa face.. Hindi n rin nangangati. Ininuman ko cia ng cetirizine pang 3days ko na siyang iniinum.. Natigil na rin yung micro peeling. Ang ginamit ko nmn na panghilamos yung fun.g soap tapos moisturizer at toner ng celeteque sa gabi po. Kung hindi p po kaya cguro ng balat nyo gumamit ng toner i suggest wag muna.. I hope it would help.

Same as here i bought all of glow kit essentials, i used it na for almost 5 days and it burnt talaga. Sobrang Dry ng face ko all over then nagkasugat left cheek and chin ko, nagkabutlig and may tumutubong bumps sa forehead then cheek. Starting now ko na sya iistop. Its not worth the price. Ang mahal pa naman. Expected ko pa naman mag glow skin ko and become hydrated dahil nga sobrang dry ko since at first wash lang pala maganda sa feel then wala na. Then product claim that this is for glowing skin eme .Sayang it sucks talaga.

This is not an isolated case dahil madami tayo may same experience. Don’t worry because sa FB page reviews section, there is no way to delete ur feedback. Once magfeedback ka doon, permanent na at hindi yun mabubura. It’s the best way to give justice sa nangyari satin. I am really disappointed sa nangyari sa face ko dumami pimples ko as in super dami ng butlig. Nakakababa ng self esteem

ReplyDeleteLast month I tried the rejuv set. 2nd application palang ang hapdi na nung toner so I thought normal lang kasi nga tiis ganda. 2nd application ko same pa din and kinabukasan namaga mukha ko. Akala ko talaga sinumpong ako ng allergies ko and it took me a week to clear my face. I used glow set again for almost a week now. Unfortunately, I have bumps, dryness,peeling and breakout. Sayang yung pera and skin ko. Sana bumalik pa sa dati.

Sabi ni seller Skin purging daw. I continued using it baka mawala. Pero di sya nagdry or nawala. Lalo lang nagalit Ung pimples ko.
Tinigil ko sya. Kasi pag ganon alam natin na di na tayo hiyang diba. Skin Natin magrereact kaagad yan pag di hiyang. Kaya nga may mga patch test ung iba.
Yun lang. Overhyped over priced 😔
Nag stick ako sa Japanese skin care routine ko. Im not after the glow or glass skin na. Im afyer sa hydration and anti ageing.
