Here's A Great Opportunity For Your Kids: AMCI Mountaineering Club Is Looking For Young Outdoor Stewards
So if you're looking for an interesting summer activity for your child, you might consider getting your child involved in outdoor activities.
Let Your Children Get In Touch With Nature And Be The Best They Can Be
Manila, Philippines — AMCI Mountaineering Club, Inc., one of the country’s premier outdoor organizations, is once again inviting parents and kids to spend a weekend at the foot of Mt. Manalmon in San Miguel, Bulacan for the Young Outdoor Stewards Camp.
The event, slated May 26 to 27, seeks to give kids an introduction to the great outdoors, bringing focus on environmental stewardship. Campers will learn about the relationship of people to the natural environment and how individuals can do their share in protection and conservation. The program is anchored on the seven Leave no Trace (LNT) Principles. These principles provide guidelines to enjoy nature sustainably.
AMCI is opening the camp to kids ages 6 to 12, and to teens ages 13 to 17 at any level of physical fitness. Teens will do a day hike of Mt. Manalmon with gamified pit stops that tackle the LNT Principles, while kids will do a quick Madlum Basecamp tour with gamified stations that teach the LNT Principles.
The camp package is Php 2,100 for kids and Php 2,350 for teens. It includes roundtrip transport arrangements from Makati to Bulacan and back, entrance to the sitio, pitch fee for the tents, all meals from arrival to until departure, guide fees, and all materials for each session.
To ensure safety, AMCI will deploy certified first aid responders and medics within the camp and during the trek.
The Young Outdoor Stewards Camp is co-presented by Alaska, Roller Coaster, Nissin, and Dynamite!
